Are you Bonded & Insured?
Yes. Beyond the Basics is fully licensed, insured and bonded.

When do you work?
We begin the day at about 8:30 a.m. and are generally finished by 3:30 p.m. We do not offer any cleaning services on holidays or weekends.

Do we give you a key?
For regular house cleaning, most of our clients provide us with their house key. We have a key tagging system so that your key is not labeled with your name or address. If you choose to be home on cleaning day to let us in, our policy is to charge a Lockout Fee of $70 if we are unable to enter your home at your scheduled cleaning time.

Do you bring cleaning products and equipment?
We provide all cleaning products and equipment required to clean your home.

Can I buy a gift certificate?
Yes! We have beautiful looking certificates which your friends or family will appreciate receiving. We have gift certificates for such occasions as housewarming, baby showers, birthdays, and Mother's Day.

How can I pay?
Payment for regular house cleaning service is due on your cleaning day. We accept cash and personal cheques.

What if I decide to go on vacation ?
Please give us as much notice as possible (at least a week prior) and we will gladly suspend your service for the duration of your vacation, if that is what you wish.

What if I want more visits correlating to my entertaining schedule particularly around the end of the year holidays?
We would be pleased to accommodate you. However, please note that we do have a fixed amount of employees and that is a very busy period. The earlier you can advise us, the more chance we will be successful at assisting you.

What if one of your routine visits falls on a holiday?
We will contact you in advance of the holiday to reschedule.

What if I wish to reschedule or cancel my regular cleaning for an upcoming week?
We will try our best to accommodate your need to reschedule during the same week, provided there is flexibility in the schedule that week. If we cannot find a mutually satisfactory slot, that particular visit will need to be skipped. The next cleaning will occur as usual as per the original schedule. If you need to cancel a particular cleaning, please advise us at least 24 hrs in advance.

What areas do you serve?
We service Ottawa and the surrounding communities, including Osgoode, Metcalfe, Greely, Manotick, North Gower, Barrhaven, and Riverside South. If you are in a community that is not listed here, please call us to enquire.
